Last updated: June 7, 2025

1. Purpose

At Guurnet, keeping minors safe is our top priority. This policy
explains how we prevent, detect, and respond to any behaviour or
content that constitutes child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE),
including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), on our platform.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all Guurnet users and all content shared
or exchanged via our dating app, including profiles, messages,
images, and videos. It governs both automated and human
review processes.

3. Definitions

  • CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material): Any visual depiction of a
minor engaged in sexual activity, including photographs,
    videos,or generated imagery.

  • CSAE (Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation): Any act or depiction
of sexual activities with minors, including grooming, solicitation,
    and distribution of CSAM.

  • Minor: Any person under the age of 18.

  • Report: A user-initiated flagging of suspected abuse or policy violation
via our in-app tools or external channels.

4. Our Standards

  • Zero Tolerance: Guurnet strictly prohibits any CSAM, grooming behaviour,
    or exploitation of minors.

  • Age Verification: We require users to certify they are 18 or older at
registration and employ automated checks to flag suspicious ages.

  • Content Moderation: We use a combination of AI-powered scanning and
human review to detect and remove prohibited content.

  • User Education: We provide clear warnings about our policies and
safety tips in our help center and onboarding flow.

5. Reporting Mechanisms

  • In-App “Report” Button: Tap the “Report” icon on any user profile,
message thread, or piece of content to submit a report directly
    to our safety team.

6. How We Handle Reports

All incoming reports are prioritized for review within 24 hours.
Our compliance team takes the following steps:

  1. Immediate Removal: Any confirmed CSAM or grooming content is
    removed at once.

  1. Account Action: Accounts involved in CSAE are suspended or banned,
    pending further investigation.

  1. Law Enforcement: When required by law, we report confirmed Child
Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) incidents to the relevant authorities.

  2. Follow-Up: We notify the reporting user once their report has
    been processed.

7. Legal Compliance

  • Canada: Personal Information Protection and Electronic
    Documents Act (PIPEDA)
